Photoshoot with Meredith

My friend Meredith took Elizabeth Grace's pictures the other day and I HAD to post some of them on my blog. They are gorgeous and I am so proud of Meredith's talent. She has become such a great photographer and I just know she is going to be very successful! I only snagged a few from her blog...if you want to check out a few of the others go to http://www.mlhphotojournal.blogspot.com/.

Christmas

This is the tent that her Grandmama & Grandpa made for her. It is so cool. She has already slept in it one night!

Elizabeth Grace was a very happy girl on Christmas morning. Santa brought her a pink bike with training wheels! She told me this morning that she could not get enough of that bicycle. She ended up riding around our house b/c of the nasty weather.
Santa also brought her a Leapster "game player" and she was all smiles. She wanted a Nintendo DS after being around her older cousins, but Santa decided she was a little too young for that so he found the next best thing. She said, "Mommy, I just can't believe Santa thought to bring me a game player." I'm going to post a few pics of some of the things she got and I'll try to post some more later.
Needless to say we all had a fabulous time at our house, and we hope that all of our friends and family had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Eli's First Haircut....finally!

I know what all of you may be wondering...why has it taken almost 4 years for Elizabeth Grace to get a haircut? Well, for one, her hair is crazy curly and it honestly never bothered me that she hadn't had a cut. Another reason for the delay is that I have been scared to death to get it cut. I knew that her hair would have to be done by someone who can cut curly hair and not chop it all up and make her look like Diana Ross on a bad day. Many of you may already know that my nickname for her whenever she wakes in the morning is Diane Ross. So, my beautician, Brandi, was the chosen one to do the job. Eli was super excited and her favorite part was getting her hair washed in the sink. She was all smiles and giggles and couldn't wait to show off her new look! Oh, yeah...this morning she says, " Mommy, am I Diana Ross this morning?" I told her that actually no, her hair was pretty smooth. So she ran into the bathroom, climbed on her stool to look in the mirror to see her beautiful hair and make sure she didn't resemble Diane Ross. What a nut!

The New Punky Brewster

If any of you know my child, then you know that whenever she hits the door of our house she wants to strip down to nothing but her panties. What can I say...she's a free spirit. Well, about a week ago I was vacuuming the house, Jonathon was asleep in the living room and Elizabeth Grace was watching tv in her panties. I had made it into the hallway with the vacuum cleaner and Eli pops out of her room and says, "Look at me Mommy...don't you love my outfit?" I almost fell over the vacuum cleaner. Needless to say I told her that she looked beautiful and I just had to take a picture of her. The best part was that her socks have tiny jingle bells on them and she thought she was tough stuff because her socks made noise whenever she walked. I just know she's going to be the next big fashion stylist...don't you agree? :)

FPK Christmas program

Eli and Ally were the cutest "sugarplum fairies" in the Christmas play at school. The children acted out the story, "Twas the Night Before Christmas." I have the worst camera in the world so all of the pics that Jonathon took during the performance are so blurry. I was able to snap a cute one of Eli and Ally before the play. They were too cute!

Charlie

This is one of the pics that was taken for our Christmas cards. (above)

My family is grieving this Thanksgiving day for our wonderful dog Charlie. Jonathon found him lying by the road this morning as he was coming home from hunting. We are in shock that this has happened to our precious pet. We loved Charlie very much. Jonathon and I feel that he was our first child. We are going to miss him dearly. I still can't believe it. We are going to feel very lost without him. Please keep our family in your prayers.

We are not dead...

I have not updated this blog in a really long time. What can I say...we lead boring lives.

I did want to post this pic of Miss Eli's tattoo that she is so very proud of. If you can't tell it's Hannah Montana...our latest obsession. She chose Hannah Montana wrapping paper to wrap her gifts that she's giving to teachers, friends, cousins, etc...

Is this a sign of things to come?!?!

You've got to check out this little video that I got of Eli and Daniel today. He came over to play and it was beautiful enough outside that we could swing and slide on the playset and also cruise around in the jeep. When they started drivng around, I thought I would just get a cute little clip of them driving each other. I never thought that it would turn out to be such a catastrophe. As you can tell, at the end, I thought it was hilarious. After I stopped the camera, they soon made up and Daniel became the passenger. I was able to get a cute pic of them, too! Enjoy...

We are Jack-o-lanterns...BOO, BOO, BOO!!

This is our jack-o-lantern that Eli and Jonathon carved for us. We decided to go with a happy face.

Another Fun Weekend in Tiger Town

Last weekend we headed over to Clemson to watch the Tigers play football. Unfortunately, they didn't win, but we definitely had a great time visiting with our friends. Here are some cute pics from the day.

We're Going for a Superhero Theme...

No Princess costumes for us on Halloween...It seems that Elizabeth Grace likes the superheroes.
Last year she dressed up as Wonder Woman and she was adorable!
As you can see she is dying to be a pink power ranger. Isn't this the best outfit...plastic mask and all?!?! I hope she'll be able to breathe through it long enough to go trick-or-treating!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Eli and her class got to visit the pumpkin patch this week. She was so excited! After reading "The Littlest Pumpkin" the other night she felt so sorry for the little pumpkin and was looking forward to choosing a really tiny pumpkin to bring home with her.

"On Top of Spaghetti..."

Yesterday was my 31st birthday. I had a pretty good day. I guess at this point birthdays just aren't as exciting as they used to be. I remember when I was a little girl I could hardly sleep the night before my birthday, anticipating all the gifts I would get to open! Well, I still like to open gifts, but the not sleeping part is definitely over.

Last night, Jonathon's mom made dinner and also a very special cake.

No, it's not really a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. It's actually cupcakes that she decorated with icing, strawberry jam, and chocolate balls to look like spaghetti and meatballs. The parmesan cheese is shaved white chocolate. Isn't that neat?

Eli helped her make it and she was very proud of herself!

Charleston

Our horse, "Scout."
Eli really enjoyed the horse drawn carriage. She was especially excited about getting a chance to "drive" the horse. She did a fantastic job "driving" us around historic Charleston!

Last weekend we (along with my wonderful Mother who took care of Eli while we were there) packed up and headed to Charleston. Jonathon's good friend from the Citadel got married, so we decided to make a mini-vacation out of it. We had a great time. As you can see from the pics, Elizabeth Grace's favorite part was going on the carriage ride. Our driver let her help him with the reins and that just thrilled her! She can't wait to go back and drive "Scout" again.

She's already talking about getting married...

While we were having lunch at our favorite place, D & S, Eli asked, "Do you know who I'm going to marry when I grow up?"
I was thinking she would say Daniel, but after I asked her who, she said, "Jonathon."
I asked, "You are?" and she said, "Yes, I'm going to marry my Daddy."
When I told Jonathon about it you would've thought someone had given him a million dollars! She's got her Daddy right where she wants him!

House Divided

Eli and Mati (above)
Daddy with one of his Clemson girls!
Mommy and Aunt Reagan always have fun tailgating at the games!
Our worn out sweetie...she was a champ and didn't complain once about the stifling heat.

The three of us headed to Clemson Saturday morning to see the Tigers play The Citadel. Mommy's school against Daddy's school. We asked Elizabeth Grace which color she wanted to wear, orange or blue. She said she wanted to wear blue but as you can see from our pics she didn't have any blue. What a shame...Mommy felt horrible that Eli didn't have a Citadel outfit to wear. Fortunately she wore the winning colors!!! Go Tigers!! Sorry Daddy.

Is it school time already?!!?

Eli couldn't wait to wear her new monkey bookbag to school!

Eli with her teachers, Miss Joannie and Miss Amber.
I went in to take some pics of Eli and when I walked in she was already decked out in the chef's hat ready to cook!

We cannot believe that our summer is over. I don't know where the time went! Elizabeth Grace was very excited to start school though. I was able to snap a few pics of her on the big day. It's hard to believe she's in 3K. My baby is getting to be a big girl!

Flips and Man Cubs

Our new favorite movie is "The Jungle Book." Eli loves the songs and has begun belting these out whenever and whereever she may be. I got her singing the man cub song and she threw in some flips for extra entertainment!

Edventure

Little Miss Dentist
Eli can't wait to start driving her friends around!

Fun Bubbles!
Grocery shopping has never been so much fun!

We went to Edventure in Columbia last week with some of our friends. Elizabeth Grace had a great time playing with Katie, Ann Frances, Matthew, and Bennett.
