My Funny Girl

This morning we were having some friends over to play. I went into her room because she had already pulled out almost every toy from her cabinets and I just wanted to put some of it away before our guests arrived.
She came in and asked me what I was doing. I said, "I am trying to clean up your room before your friends get here." She said, "Why, Mom? We're just going to tear it up."

A few minutes later, she was in my bedroom watching TV. I told her to turn the TV off and come out of my room because I wanted to shut the door. She again asks me why (that's a popular question around here lately). I told her that I had not made up my bed and I really didn't want everyone to see my messy room.
So our friends arrive and the first thing out of Eli's mouth is this, "Don't go in my mom's room because she didn't make up her bed."

Ah, the joys of having a chatty baby girl!

Playing in the Snow

Making a snow angel(above)
Our miniature snowman

Our snow-covered house

We were so happy to wake up to a snowy day! It was so much fun playing in the snow. Whenever we went out the snow was coming down pretty hard. Eli said,"Mommy, I've never seen snow before!"
She made a snowangel and her grandmama came over and made a teeny tiny snowman.
I'll have to admit I wasn't very thrilled with the idea of snow b/c of having to miss school and make up a day,but seeing Elizabeth Grace experience the snow was well worth it!
I am so blessed to be a mother and witness a child's awe of discovering new things.
